*** First tell me the history of Jason Blachowicz. The last tour in
Europe he wasn't with the band anymore and now he returned?!

1)Well Jason has been running a very successful tattoo shop in South
Florida for the last 4 years and is a very popular tattooist as well so
he has a lot of tattooing to do.But over the last year he has been lucky
enough to be able to have his workers run the tattoo shop while he is on
tour with Malevolent Creation again. When nhe heard the material for the
new album he said he had to be back in the band and back on the road
with us like we are now.So we are happy to have another original member
back in the band kicking ass fulltime again.

*** In relation to this matter. Why Malevolent Creation has/had so many
line up changes. You are such a difficult (Phil) guy to work with or you
are just a "doomed" band which is unlucky in having the right members
(Arguments, members who cant tour because of legislation, and so on)?!

2)We have a very soilid line up now for the last 3 years as only there
has been a possitive change with our session drummer Gus Rios being a
fulltime member since 2007 and our 2nd guitarist Gio Geraca as a
fulltime member for the last 2 years. We have had problems with our
former drummer Dave and 2nd guitarist Jon Rubin but that was they chose
to not tour anymore and are now married and are starting families. There
is no time for a family life when you are a touring metal band and were
touring now and have an Amazing new album coming out called "Invidious
Dominion"and were going to be doing a lot of touring and were all very
excited about that.

*** To the new record.I personally consider it among the top 3 of the
best malevolent creation albums. How you see it?!

3)I am really happy with the results of the new album. We made a
definate decision to write a short and to the point album and i believe
we have achieved that.We definately didn't want to have any boring
song's with this new album and wanted to bring back the sound of our
earlier albums.

*** What inspired you and what where the main goals to achieve with this
new abomination?!

4)Like i just mentioned we made a consious effort to delibrately write
a very in your face album that was short and to the point and we wrote
the album in 2 month's and recorded it with our friend and producer Erik
Rutan in his Mana Studios in 9days!!! It was mixed over 2 weeks by Erik
and we couldn't be happier with the finished product.

*** And the idea behind the album title?!
5)Well we wanted to stay away from our usual death inspired lyrics and
war themed anthems that are all over our former albums and wanted to
write an album that defined what the word Malevolent Creation means. The
word INVIDIOS is another word for Malevolent and Dominion means the
world we live in so the title and lyric's are based around a world of
hatred!!! That's the way we feel our country is these days and we wanted
to write an album about that.

*** What is the song "United Hate" about?!
6)Brett wrote all the lyric's but the lyric's are self explanatory and
are about the way our country of America is run and the way everything
in this world is like these days.We are all United in Hatred wether you
want to believe that or not.

*** Many old influences from the first 2 albums I heard and recognized.
You agree on this and how this happened during the writing process?!

7)Yes,we decided not to tune our guitars lower like we have on more
recent albums and decided to record the album in the tuning of C# which
our earlier albums are in which actually to me makes the music sound
faster to me and we also made the effort to not write boring 7-9 minute
songs and wrote short and to the point song's so we didn't make the
music boring for us.

*** In general how Malevolent writes / creates songs?! (In the rehearsal
room, single members, as a band.).

8)Yes,we do work on music at home seperately but everything usually
comes together in the rehersal room.I wrote about 75% of the new album
but everyone in the band contributed music and helped putting the song's
together until we were all happy with them.

*** Malevolent creation has and will never change their unique death
metal style..how you see this and what is your personal look on the
death metal genre in general in relation to old school and the more
modern and extreme technical bands.

9)I personally cannot get into the new ultra technical death metal or
metal core bands because they all sound exactly the same and give me a
fucking headache.I like music that has song structures and move
people. Not music that is a contest to see how fast you can play and how
many notes you can jam into 1 riff.It does nothing for me.Malevolent
will alway's be the way we have always been.We like the fact that people
can understand our music even though it is very extreme.

*** You produced the album with the help of Eric Rutan of Hate Eternal.
Weren't you afraid to get a more Hate Eternal sound or you insisted on
keeping up the typical Malevolent sound?! How was working with him in
general?!

10)No,we would never lose our own sound and sound like someone else
and Erik has been a fan and friend of Malevolent Creation since 1989
when us and his 1st band Ripping Corpse played shows together.Working
with Erik was great and he just brought the best out of us and it was a
pleasure working with him and we hope to record with him again in the
future.

*** Lyrics on the new album?! Anything special or the same ideology?!
11)The theme behind the lyric's are "HATRED"!!!!! Malevolent means
hatred towrd others and that is what the lyrics are based upon!!! Pure
Fucking Hatred!!!!

*** What are your most favourite and also worst Malevolent album (Except
off course stillborn)?!

12)I am cool with all our album's and am really excited about our new
album ,but i would love to re record song's from our 3rd album Stillborn
sometime because that album was recorded at a bad time in this ban's
career and there are some great song's on that album that need to be
recorded and played correctly.I hope we will do this in the near future.

*** Any plans on ever re-recording the "Stillborn" album?!
13)Probably not the whole album but most likely afew song's.But who
know's maybe we will re record the whole album if we have the free time
to do so.

*** You guys tour a lot?! You are asked many times for packages or
arrange it your self?! Or a good agency?!

14)We are currently touring the US with Exodus right now and we will
be looking at offers for touring all over the world after this tour so
we are taking offers now!!!!!

*** What is the difference between Europe and USA in relation to death
metal and concerts. I saw you guys over ten times and every time it is a
pleasure to witness your slaughtering.

15)We prefer touring Europe but as long as people like to see us play
and we can deliver the goods we will be happy to keep slaughtering them.

*** A more difficult question in relation to the eternal album. We all
know the final phrase of the song "They Breed". This caused a lot of
controversy in and outside the band in the past How you look back on
this matter nowadays.

16)We still think it is quite funny and misunderstood and we never
have any problems anymore and we haven't played that song live since
1995 and i don't think we will ever play it again so we don't piss
anyone off.A lot of people just don't understand the lyric's at all and
that's a damn shame because it is not a racist song by any means.

*** I think you are coming to Europe with Obscura, Defeated Sanity and
Gorguts. Your opinion on all these "reunion" of bands?! You like it or
see it as a complete sell out.

17)I haven't heard anything about that yet because we are looking for
a new booking agency to represent Malevolent Creation in Europe. So any
interested agent's should contact us a.s.a.p!!!

*** At last how you construct a set list for live shows with so many
albums. Last time I saw you with Vomitory and happily there were many
old songs in the set list, but it will be difficult to please anyone I
think. Any chance of performing some old albums in total?!?!

18)We have set up a great diverse set list with a lot of song's we
haven't played live in over 18 years so we are having a lot of fun
playing a lot of song's we haven't played in a long tome right now.But
we really want to promote the song's from the new album because they are
so fucking intense!!!!!

Thanks for your time guys and I can't wait to have the real copy of the
new album in my hands. Promotional MP3 songs suck! Talk to you soon in
Holland.

19)tHANX FOR THE INTERVIEW AND I HOPE TO SEE YOU IN hOLLAND SOON AND
SMOKE SOME GREAT WEED!!!! KEEP ON KILLING!!!!!
